why did you name me?
i am not you
or even a part of you
we, together, are the whole

what causes you doesn't cause me
we need different names

the name for you can't be me
nor can it be the whole
you are not the whole
we are

fem and man
Sapiens
distinct, yet of the same class
neither taking over
simply existing
side-by-side

goofy people - silly names
they know nothing about me
we sing. we play. we laugh.
i become alive
i'm free to be me - whoever that is
there's a pulse - it becomes mine
trees. birds. water. nature. hook me

i surrender myself
am shown who i am
it's in my cells
i am me whom God created
100% - everywhere - always
the pulse is wherever i go

To The Tanks!

To The Tanks!

     they're helping terrorists!
        giving 'em money. weapons. training.
        ignoring 'em practice killing

     they've got nukes!
        pointed everywhere
        refuse to disarm

     human rights violations!
        executing innocents
        millions in streets starving
        ethnic minorities get nothing
            no jobs
            no housing
            no education

To The Tanks!
     this must be stopped!
     launch the attack on Washington!

Untitled 8
here i sit - under a tree, next to a stream
i dangle my toes in the passing water - it flows on - to
the next parcel - around the meadow - into a river - through
the forest - into the lake - evaporates - into a cloud - it
falls as rain thousands of miles away - i am there

the wind tousles your hair and blows through a nearby town -
it continues - over the mountain - across the desert - through
the valley - to tousle the hair of another - you are there

i rain on you
you blow through me
we are one
